Ghirardelli Square is a historic San Francisco landmark. It is located on the beautiful San Francisco bay just a block from the cable car turnaround on the west side of Fisherman's Wharf. Come visit and discover why San Francisco locals and visitors alike love Ghirardelli Square!

Being a major part of the history of San Francisco, Ghirardelli Square dates back to the late 1890s, when it served as the original site of the Ghirardelli family's chocolate, cocoa, mustard and box factories. Today, it's a unique destination for San Francisco Bay Area residents and visitors, featuring specialty shops, award-winning restaurants, cafes, wine bars, live entertainment and more.

Ghirardelli Square is currently in the final stages of a dramatic transformation and renovation. Current restaurant-wine venues are Cellar 360, Wattle Creek Winery, Ana Mandara Vietnamese Restaurant, McCormick and Kuleto's, Lori's Diner, O'Neill's Irish Pub, The Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop, and Kara's Cupcakes. The gourmet food extravaganza MARCHÉ ON THE SQUARE is scheduled to open summer of 2008. Specialty shops include Lola of North Beach, One of a Kind, Richter's Glass Creations, Yap Wraps, Tower Tours, Helpers Bazaar and the Peekadoodle Kids Club. Additional restaurants, cafes and specialty stores will be opening soon, we'll keep you updated on future store openings.

Fairmont Heritage Place is an integral part of the current revitalization of the historical Square. The highly anticipated private residence club, a 53-unit fractional ownership residential project is currently under construction and expected to open May 2008.
